Is There a Need for Displacement Cells?
There's too many cells in the brain and the cortex in particular. When researchers record from cells, they have no idea what they're doing. So there's a lot of evidence that they do something, but no one knows what it is. We deduced purely deduction, a need for a different type of representation which we just call displacement cells. You can never prove a theory like you can always say, well, well, we tried to falsify this way and didn't find shooting. That's just one of the victims of science.
