AHA Statement on Oral Antibiotics for MRSA and Ocreditis
There were no patients with MRSA in that study, so we don't really have great data on what an oral regimen to treat MRSA and Ocreditis should be. The majority of cases actually in the poet study were patients who had strep or enterococcus species. It was over 73% as opposed to only 21% of patients on poet who had staff. And now, yes, patients with history of injection drug use were suspicious that staff will be there. They're eologic pathogen.
