Grooming Is a Serious Thing
According to research for Media Matters on Twitter the number of tweets with Groomer-related language increased by over 60% in April. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' press secretary Christina Puschall described the legislation as quote the anti-grooming bill. I think that there's definitely been a vibe shift since February that I've noticed. And it's been unlike anything I've ever seen. The kinds of attacks on LGBTQ people, specifically labeling LGBT people as groomers. Like and pedophiles like I never thought that would like happen in that way. It's just absolutely gross.
