Walmart's e commerce operations were a sickly shadow of its colossal brick and morter operations. With on line sales growth stalling, walmart hoped buying jet dot com would be the daring leap it needed save its ehommerce wing from the abyss. But for mark, this was like leaping from the sleek, cutting edge aircraft he had built with his own hands to a poorly stitched zeppelin that was billowing flames in an uncontrolled descent.

Marc Lore is all too familiar with leaping into the unknown. He’s made leaps of faith as the founder of Diapers.com, Jet.com, the CEO of Walmart U.S. e-commerce, and now, as a part owner of NBA/WNBA teams, along with Telosa, a city that he’s announced he’s building from scratch.
