The Rise and Fall of Lenin

Lenin, long before he's a socialist agitator and claimant of power in the Soviet Union, is a Marxist theorist in his own right. He comes up as kind of an academic-y pamphleteer that is writing in the same tradition. This all dates to the late 1890s and early 1900s when the various socialist and worker movements of the radical left were getting together.
