Apple and Google both say that verification does not mean an app is secure. Apple wins because it produces the hardware, they produce the devices,. And they're the ones who decide, yep, done, that device isn't supported anymore. It's over. Whereas Google has instead taken the model of working with the manufacturers to make sure their products are safe.
