Back stage is a platform of platforms built by spotify and open to anyone. Back in 20 16, spotify was growing like crazy. Like many start ups, we had outgrown the waste to share knowledge that work so well when we were a much smaller company. And it was having serious measurable effects on productivity,. especially for new engineering hires. When pie started working on the platform team, she immediately saw that while things may have looked buttoned up and professional on the outside. On the inside, it was a very different story.
