The Benefits of Taking an Advisor Position
If you don't have the necessary chops and expertise, you're doing both yourself and the company of disservice. I hate meeting advisors who bring nothing to the table and they actually make things more inefficient. The key benefit is that you're fundamentally impacting where the company is going to go. It's up to the CEO and his executive team and so forth to execute.
