The Role of ToLite Receptor Four in the Allergy Response
The cat allergy protein was actually detected by a receptor in the body. TOLite receptor four is on the cell membrane of immune cells, and it detects how stuss might proteins and pollens. If you took a drug that blocked TOLITE receptor four, it would then stop the allergen being detected by a body which would stop the aberrant immune response from occurring. It becomes useful as a preventative therapy.
