The Basics of Sumerian

The Bejisten inscription is sort of our Rosetta Stone, except that for Setter Stone, we at least had at least one of the languages was Greek. With Sumerian, you know, again, it's not just that, it's a very dead language. And so we have much, much less to work with. One of the few things we can turn to when trying to reconstruct how Sumerian is pronounced is howSumerian words get loaned into Acadian and vice versa. But we are much more at a loss with Sumerian.
