Sony BMG's XCP anti-copying software can be used to copy data stored on a computer. Under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, it is not allowed to install software without user consent. The company was in no hurry to provide its customers with a way to uninstall the malicious software. A Finnish hacker who reversed engineered Sony BMG's uninstaller said security wasn't thought about for even a second during development of this thing.
