The Importance of a Big Language Model in Research
Do you think that there's still a wide enough set in academia to work on certain types of problems in industry? There is, I have my reservations overall about that a lot of research is driven from industry. And yes, there is a problem with the fact that very big models are accessible to companies,. But there is also a positive side of it because research has to be more creative and forward-looking than what is currently big hype.
