We've seen over and over again that the people with the most power in american life really just want o kind of train a work force. So in the school contexts, they're much more open to getting their brands or products into schools,. Then developing citizens who feel they have the power to create change.

In most American schools, children *hear about* democracy, but don’t get to *practice* it. What would a more engaged brand of civics education look like?
