The Rise and Fall of Game of Thrones
There are a number of I think commercially and critically acclaimed sci-fi shows and films but there's just not a lot of fantasy ones. So much of fantasy literature follows templates that Tolkien invented and so it's hard to make any of that seem not derivative. A lot of sci-fi Shows feel derivative of Lord of the Rings including the Rings of Power which I am full of fear yeah. It's somewhat telling that the big bet they're making for you know the Lord of the Ring ask but sci-fi adaptation is due, says actor.
