The Medical Conversation Around Trans People

The American College of Pediatricians issued a defining document in the anti-trans movement. The group urges healthcare professionals, educators, and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Dr. Van Meter's relatable charm disarmed me initially, but I kept going because there's a particular part of their gender ideology, harm's children manifesto which really stood out to me. That phrase signaled to me that the group's actions were not fueled by science, even a bad interpretation of science, but something else.
