Is There a Theory of Perception?

Medievals postulate that animals have higher senses, such as sight and hearing. They say this is because their souls are attending to what's happening in their eyes. The medievals' theory of perception doesn't apply to non-human animals like chickens or T-sheep who flee wolves without knowing they're dangerous.
