The Origins of Hip Hop
I remember being very ego-tistic about hip hop myself. It took me to go to France and I did an album called World According to the Resilent of Year 2000. And I had to travel around all these different countries and do music, right? And I'm seeing rappers everywhere. But it did have its roots in America. Hip hop is actually a melting pot of our culture.
