That's all happens within the space of three months. So in that time, because Michael Gove is still being paid, he's redundant some money - 16,000 pounds. And you effectively have a situation where the taxpayer is paying two lots of salaries for two secretaries of state at the same time. The ability of government to be stable depends on the political strength of the governing party.
