Capitalism is in many ways natural, like you know you give people money for things you want. Trade is a very natural fundamental thing to build a system or credit assignment on top of. For example, capitalism has large problems pricing externalities and like commons. This is a failure mode of capitalism. I would expect a very advanced alien society would not be capitalist. They would have some kind of prediction market, commons trading based systems,. Some like Robin Hanson designed economy or whatever. It's surprising that we have as much freedom as we do. People are allowed to spend their resources in weird ways. Like the fact Elon Musk is allowed to exist is like I mean just look at the guy.
