In 2000, Andrew Wakefield and a pathologist had hired for unagenetics prepared to present new research at a London meeting of the pathological society. The presentation was based on alleged gut biopsy samples from Walker Smith's patients, 10 with autism and three with Crohn's disease; it claimed a possible causal link. Now he's done more research, but he's not doing another study. He's just going straight to press conference without actually publishing a peer-reviewed study.
