The Different Types of Reverse Triggering

This is a phenomenon sometimes called entrainment, but in a broad sense we're calling it reverse triggering. It's more like the vent is almost pacing their diaphragm for them. We see this more in patients who are breathing less. One treatment is actually to let the patient do more of their own breathing and lighten their sedation.
