In a big company, i don't think the esimes going anywhere. In smaller companies, i think we're already seeing a disruption of the resume while they're still used. For engineers, starters are looking at gethub. For designers, starts are looking at portfolios or personal web sites. I am talking jobs like uber, door dash, fiver, task rabbit upwork. As many as 55 million people in the us were gig workers. That is 34 % of the work force.
Resumes have barely changed since 1482, when Leonardo da Vinci wrote a letter to the Duke of Milan. That is freakin wild. Today, I explore the purpose of the resume and predict how it may evolve in the future.
