How Much Self-Sensitization Goes on in Nonfiction?

I feel my human fragility every day, I think I can take criticism that is fair. But to be deliberately misunderstood or to be vilified because you said something that somebody doesn't want you to say is very hurtful. The police define hate in this country as dislike and antagonism. My response to that is to speak freely of that which I dislike and to be as antagonistic as is humanly possible while staying on the right side of the law. By the police's own definition, I engage in hate speech. Is this wise? I think both are unwise. Really? Yes. Let's explain why.
