He preached a sermon based on God is love and no one heard it. His only interactions were with the occasional postman and a fortnightly visit from a Bodman grocer who left oats, butter and margarine. He was such an odd vicar that news have reached Life magazine. A couple of days later, Alistair, it gets sadder still. Some of the villagers noticed that the chimney was not smoking as usual. They found his body at the bottom of the stairs dead.
