Bridges Are Harder Than Walls
Bridges are harder than walls, which is why politicians like to talk about them. There's much that economics has to say about bridges - it's just that economists don't talk about em enough. What we've had from politicians right and left, both sides of the aisle, is a bit more blather, to be honest, than real action. Think the biglandgrap college that started in the 18 sixties, think about the g i bil. If we really wanted to help people, we could reach back that when america did this on a grand scale.
