Jesselyn Ifill: I think it's very hard at the moment, especially if you're white liberal and in a white dominated institution, to be a good ally. She says we need to look critically at these individual efforts and trainings and ask what evidence is behind them. We have discovered that through serious studies and the scientific method, we have discovered that a lot of what we talk to be science has turned out to be wrong," she says.
