The 14 day rule is a guide line that says that human embryos shouldn't be grown in a dish for more than two weeks past when they were fertilized. Back when it was put in place, nobody could even grow an embryo for 14 days outside of the body. Now we're really in this time period were ok, before we couldn't do this, now we can. Should we revise the use these rules to enable us to look further into the future? And whothe cause then to extend this time period?
