The Impossibility of Putting Yourself in Your Shoes

I was on the verge of a confrontation with an individual Who prides himself on being super moral. He has all the boxes checked for his Catholicism and he's a terrible terrible man. But because I don't exercise compassion and empathy It's so easy for me to dismiss you and vice versa. Sometimes I compromise my ability to be a good witness to the gospel Because I don't want to become the jerk who excuses his own sin that's how the devil win.
