A lot of native speakers don't realize how they can help learners of English understand them. It's about grading the English and also just keeping the message simple, not too many fancy phrases. You know, I meet some people who when they're speaking to foreigners who don't speak English, their approach to trying to help the person understand is really weird. So if you say very polite and very complicated sentences with, you know, may have could we that we don't understand that to be like little words and very push it, not saying loud.
