How to Build a Successful Collaboration Software Business

We started with essentially a template gallery. It was an open source repository of best practices that people could copy and customize. And so what we wanted to build is essentially a minimum ideal product at first. We probably spent nine months building this platform where you could essentially search for templates, all of the templates where user contributed. So it was a really important time for us to figure out how the business worked before we opened it up to the world.
