Stop All the Clocks

i like it when the rhyme and the rhythm of o a very sad poem give you a sort of handrail to get you through all the anguish. Because you're reminded that human beings can create beautiful rhymes and rhythms. And stop all the clocks is such a great opening. Time stands still now the loved one has gone. This is not stopped the clock, everybody's. He doesn't silence the piano. He silenced the pianos, the plural. It's like he in all the pianos in the world, all music, all pleasure, all beauty. The third standza is, in a way, a very simple thing, but, god, i think it is out
