Daryl Hart's course on Machin that we've published for free at Reformed Academy refers to this. We can also speak about H. G. Wells, as he's mentioned here. Machin speaks of the great poets, the musicians, the sculptors and the painters. He says those guys don't exist at the present moment.Machin is not a big fan of a modernist cultural endeavors. The art that does exist is largely imitative or bizarre.
