Baptiste Baptiste was playing in a puddle by the river when he decided to jump into it. He went under and couldn't seem to tell which way was up, but beefsteak the newfy had seen him from his warm spot near the market's open door. The big dog pulled the sputtering boy out of the water by the heel of one big rain boot. A crowd cheered that the boy was fine and cheered louder again for Beefsteak the hero dog.
