There's a pro social advantage to gossip, which is that it's an efficient way to learn about people and co operate with a larger group of people. Or it could be a destructive a. i don't really want to talk about somebody else when i'm in a conversation with another person. But if you just talk to someone like hay, you wo with paula and love paulo, and ti's what pala hav done. You should meet them. It's not like a, your trying to um, you know, declouds it person or yo. I think robert childine ca even talks about this in his book influence. It's reciprocity.
