The American National Mythology and the Land of Paradise
The film is a collaboration between Darrin Aronofsky and the crew at CNN. The idea came from an early conversation with one of the producers, who said it feels like an inverted Western to me. In your version of this story, the sophisticated media savvy people are the indigenous community that know how to leverage media and technology for their own goals. And the naive people are the settlers, you know, they're the ones who don't understand any of the historical context of their actions.
