"I tried to use in medicine what's called ochman's razor like if I can explain subsequent things by an initial problem to me that's better than just adding more kind of diagnosis or problems later on Russell Barkley would say that's true for ADHD with emotional disregulation it's inherent to the disease so you don't necessarily have to add a separate mood diagnosis maybe later on," he said. "We really need to observe the kid react to the kid that's in front of us without overlaying too much of our understanding."
