Our Work Is Central to Who We Are
The fourth commandment is given to us to help us make sure that work does not replace God as our primary source of identity or security. "God's love for us and his plans for us they were to be our primary identity and God's care for us is what we were to most depend on to sustain us" The first commandment is the heart of the fourth commandment, he says.
