Tracy Carey: I see you every day doing the invisible work of citizenship at this university. It's time that's unrewarded, often unnoticed by most people. My grandmother passed well over 10 years ago now; she was my favorite person in the world. She became director of human resources at Sangamon State University and had only a high school degree.
