Marvel Comics - A Fun Foreshadowing

In the 1970s when Marvel's owned by Cadence, they actually strike a licensing deal with Lucasfilm. In 1986, Marvel changes hands again and Cadence sells the company to New World Entertainment. And then New World undergoes some struggles and ends up selling it again shortly later to the billionaire Ronald Perlman in 1989 for 82 and a half million. He takes Marvel public in 1991 and then he starts expanding. They buy sports trading card company Fleer in 1992. Then in 1993, Marvel acquires slightly less than half of a company called Toy Biz which was a toy company that created action figures for all the Marvel superheroes and villains. Boy does that sound familiar.
