Linguistics says that you talk like who you talk with. So our accents will always reflect the people we spend time with. We speak Spanish because I take things from her. She takes things from me. And we've also got our shared words that nobody understands. It's really weird. But there's lots of research to show that people who switch between languages or like you with Spanglish is actually a sign of a higher language ability. Thank you.
