The Political Climate of Cambodia
Christianity is looked upon with disdain from the populace in Cambodia. They have a philosophy that all religions are good, but their religious and spiritual worldview is very far removed from the Christian worldview. And so even though they're open, it doesn't take root. Here in Cambodia, some of the first missionaries, when they saw that Cambodians worship their ancestors using incense, said, no, you can't do that when you follow Jesus. Which is very sad because they took away one of the most biblical ways of worshiping God.
