Anesthesia and oral surgery thought the patient had a hematoma or an infection. He was finally given steroid and epinephrine about 10 minutes too late. A CT scan with contrast showed diffuse soft tissue edema of the floor of the mouth without evidence of infections such as gas formation or adjacent fat trending. Robbie: I don't think it's wrong to give epinephrine like if you're worried about anapyl, but this doesn't sound like anapylaxis.
