I remember once dabbling in Raga's sort of the truth for a little HBO short film I did, like 15 years ago. It was a very eye-opening experience to me of just how much these instruments, even percussion, which we think of as non-pitched in the West broadly other than, you know, obvious exceptions, mallets and that kind of thing.
