The Power of Presence Grows in You
The power of presence grows in you, it doesn't mean that the consciousness itself grows because that would imply time and consciousness is timeless. Gradually though, the presence in you grows and you're already quite often as you say, the witnessing presence is there in the background. So do not demand that immediately you should be free of all identification with thinking. There's still a lamp shade there that's perfectly fine.
