As offices are closed, organizations are reducing costs by outsourcing. This increases the risk of protracted disruption as control over key infrastructure is diminished. The exclusive use of cloud providers for hosting and data storage will provide businesses with greater flexibility. But consideration must be given to how it also opens them up to a greater risk of compromise or availability concerns via single points of failure. And then outsourcing everything amplifies supply chain risk.
