Is It a Good or a Bad Exercise?

Even balance work, i think it does get a bad rap, but to me it's more when i have so many degrees of freedom. My next layer of what i look at to be a good or a bad exercise is, does it allow a balance of expansion and compression? So in terms delicesto say a a back squat, two parallel with the feet flat on the ground, some athletes can hit that squat without too much of a problem. Other athletes are going to have to sit way back, arch their lumbar, or round it, or just do a lot of weird or unhealthy compensations with the feetflat to hit that depth.
