Is Consciousness Coming With AGI Systems?
I think I'd probably be okay with that, especially if somehow humans are continuous with AGI. The only line is some causal chain of designing and systems that design better systems. Is that so much worse? And yes, they're not humans, but still they're our successes. At least we were, at least we were part of the process. It'd be nice if they still cared enough about us to maybe to engage with our arguments.
