The only purpose of a pitch is to open the door. Nobody likes the feeling of someone coming at them with an agenda. Unless you are a famous writer, you are not going to sell your script off of a pitch. It's important to understand that pitching is just like any other human interaction. You're probably very comfortable with talking about something that matters to you.
