The Importance of the Sacraments
The seven sacraments are the signs and instruments by which the Holy Spirit spreads the grace of Christ throughout the church. And it's so important for us to understand that we don't just show up for the sacraments because it's like, well, that's what we're supposed to do. This is a nice kind of a symbol of our responding to God's love. If the church is the sacrament, universal sacrament of salvation, as sacrament, the church is Christ's instrument.
