The Rise of Product

Design has is partly to blame here. I think there's a generation of people who shifted either wanted to just immediately come and have union do that or going to shift it to being product designers, because that's where the hot salaries were. And as a discipline, it's got kind of split up again. So it's like they're all on different bits of the assembly line. They're split up and you often have like a one or two designers in each one. And they don't really have that common thread across each other.
